Rob Huebner Piano Faculty

Rob Huebner is a 1988 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. During his time at UNL he was actively involved in the Cornhusker Marching Band, University Singers, University Orchestra, Basketball Men’s Pep Band as well as a member of the UNL men’s volleyball team. Rob received his Master’s Degree in Secondary Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2004.

Rob began his teaching career in the Raymond Central Schools where he taught grades K-6. He taught elementary K-6 as well and 7-12 in Raymond Central, Auburn and Lincoln Public Schools for eleven years. Rob has spent most of his teaching career in the Westside Community Schools building a successful middle school program where he spent 17 years of his career. He was involved as the show choir director, musical director, a building department chair, as well as many other district level committees.  In 2014, Rob was awarded the district’s Bravo Teaching award recognizing excellence in the classroom. Rob spent three years at Elkhorn South HS teaching vocal music. He co-directed the curricular choirs, varsity show choir and was part of the musical team. Following his time at ESHS, Mr. Huebner returned to his love of middle schoolers and is currently the Vocal Music Director at Mission Middle School in Bellevue.

Rob also spent over 25 years of his teaching career coaching volleyball at various levels from middle school to high school. In his spare time, he officiates high school volleyball and serves as a judge for various show choir contests. He enjoys time in the summer at his lake house at Harlan County Reservoir with friends and family along with his fur children Noah and Oliver.
